Thank you for visiting today, I had no idea where to start with finding out about the early years funding, as a first time parent I was feeling very anxious. Thank you for making time to explain everything to me.

My son absolutely loves these sessions! It seems to bring him out of himself, and for once it is nice to see a talkative and happy little boy, instead of one hiding in his autistic shell! He just loves the horse riding, and it is so good to have a happy little boy.

I took my two boys to the horse riding a couple of weekends ago and they absolutely loved it. We are booked in for another ride on the 23rd, which they are really excited about. Will there be any more opportunities to go riding again over the summer holidays? My boys haven’t stopped talking about it since they last went and are even counting the sleeps until the 23rd. I appreciate that there may be other families on your list waiting to try it, so if we are unable to do it in August, I did want to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to try it.

I booked my son onto this as he has a fear of animals which we are gradually trying to overcome. He wanted to go but was shaking like a leaf when trying to mount the horse. Extra staff came to help him and within 5 minutes he was positively engaging the horse ride and grinning, feeling very proud of himself.

Just a little story to encourage you. This summer we have encouraged S to write a daily diary, as her teacher found it very difficult to get her to do any free writing last year, even though S reads well and can spell a number of words. At the beginning of the summer we could barely get her to write four words. This has improved. This is what S wrote about Saturday: ‘We went on horsis. We saw tests [the dog] run away. My ponee was called Miste. I rode in front. It felt fanatastic.’ She also of her own accord drew a picture of herself on Misty, and of the little dog. She composed almost all the sentences herself and she chose the word fantastic to describe the experience. Many thanks, and hope we can come back soon. E

I used your organisation last year to find a childminder, and you were very helpful. That is why I am contacting you again this year.

Life is different. We can breathe a sigh of relief. We can choose what and when we do things. We all feel secure with the service the childminder is providing as we would know child A is happy as we can tell from his/her body language which says it’s OK. We would not send him/her if we did not trust the childminder. I am very happy!

It is all so confusing – thank you for explaining it…I was really worried because I didn’t know how the system works. I thought I might have missed the cut-off date for applications…I didn’t realise there were so many options, thank you for explaining them.
