Our dedicated team receive hundreds of calls every month from families who need information and support from our ‘Family Information Service’, addressing child protection issues and providing disability information and services.
We realised that families urgently need more than just family information. The majority of children we help are part of a family and helping children starts with helping the family.
The charity is working hard helping families, creating positive childhood memories for young people by running events and activities and giving families a chance to meet and feel part of a great support network. We are committed to giving families the tools to make changes and decisions which can improve the lives of their children.
What makes us unique is that we help address all family issues to the best of our ability, minimising referrals and helping families and young people thrive and flourish with the support they need. With nearly 3 million children living in Poverty in the UK, we have made it one of our objectives to support those most in need of our support.
Family Resource Centre UK has grown to meet the needs of families, we have expanded our Family Information Services to other counties, we offered over 35 events in 2011 for disadvantaged children, hold counselling sessions for families in our two new counselling centres, have a sports programme called School of Hoops and offer a new Befriending and Mentoring service. Our projects and services are still growing at a phenomenal rate and we believe in listening, changing and building on issues, and delivering services desperately asked for from families. The charity works with local authorities, schools, faith based groups and businesses to promote family services, the sharing of information and delivering projects aimed to maximise family welfare. Our passion is supporting families, changing lives and building futures, and we want to ensure that the whole community is involved in doing this.
This amazing growth and expansion of the charity is only possible from funding and donations, without which we would not be able to run all our projects. We are proud to have committed and knowledgeable staff, who work around the clock with many of our dedicated volunteers and our proactive board of trustees to deliver all these remarkable services to families.
Help us make a difference, change a young person’s life today, by supporting our work and helping the charity get these services and projects in more areas.
