Our mission and purpose here at Family Resource Centre UK is to break down social barriers, empower children and young people to reach their fullest potential by meeting their needs and giving them the opportunity and tools to flourish.
Providing efficient services to meet your budget and targets
We can work with your school to facilitate and support many of the services previously delivered as Extended Services. The Services we provide and support include:
- Furthering after school activities
- Advice and Guidance on your fundraising strategy
- Information and advice, family finance (helping parents increase their weekly income)
- Facilitate drop in sessions for students and parents
- Communication and information sharing for pupils and parents: e-newsletters, magazines, your own publications and leaflets
- Volunteer management
- Data management and analysis
- Train the trainer courses and tailored programmes: School Governor training, cultural awareness, disabilities awareness, inductions, outreach training and counselling skills plus many more…
- Report writing / create bespoke studies within your school
- Writing fundraising bids
- Counselling on-site at your school
- Pupil enrichment: with one of our GO! event projects working with your school, events and activities for disadvantaged children
Special needs projects
Our School of Hoops basketball project is now running in schools promoting teamwork, confidence building and offering mentoring. Sessions for schools include:
- Special assemblies introducing teamwork and mentoring
- Coaching and mentoring programmes
- School coaching (National Curriculum)
- Extra Curricular sessions
- Foundation Stage Coaching award training
- Advice on establishing a club
- Administration and management of a School of Hoops club
- Mentoring through basketball/team sports
- Media production for sporting events and programmes
- The formation of Basketball clubs and Leagues
- Workshops
- Summer Camps
- Seminars

Our dedicated team receive hundreds of calls every month from families who need information and support from our ‘Family Information Service’, addressing child protection issues and providing disability information and services.
This is a FREE and impartial service providing information for families with children and young people up to the age of 19, either directly through our extensive database of providers or referrals on to specialist sources of support.
Providing events and leisure opportunities for children and young people with special needs, creating lasting happy child hood memories for all children, no matter what their disability!
Family Resource Centre UK provides specialist information, support and advice to all families with disabled children no matter what their condition or disability.
We provide relevant, informative and interactive programmes that are delivered in an understandable way, enabling our users to get the maximum benefit. All training programmes are tailored to meet a groups particular need.
There are many ways you can help us here at Family Resource Centre UK; you could volunteer some of your time, donate, you could take up a challenge or get involved in an event, you could even get your school or university involved, or get your company involved.
School of Hoops is a global grassroots coaching and mentoring initiative. School of Hoops boast more than 16 years of community coaching experience.
Here at Family Resource Centre UK we know how important it is for families to be supported, and due to high family pressures and stress we have developed a complete ‘help’ service, for the whole family.
