Volunteer

Every year we help thousands of families with advice and guidance and provide events for children with disabilities and for families providing happy childhood memories. Having support from a volunteer can mean so much to the families and children we reach with our projects.

What we offer you

We offer all volunteers training, guidance and support which can give you valuable skills and experience. Volunteering with Family Resource Centre UK not only helps children with disabilities but really enhances the quality and participation in our events; it is a very rewarding job.

Awards and Certificates

We also have volunteer awards and certificates which can be gained for exceptional service to the charity and our sought after ‘100 hours of voluntary service certificates’. These can really help enhance future work.

Educational (skilled) volunteers
If you have a skill, experience or certain qualifications which could benefit the charity in any way, please get in touch with us. We can offer many skilled volunteer opportunities for those who would really like to make a difference and help support our work.

Family Information Service

This is a FREE and impartial service providing information for families with children and young people up to the age of 19, either directly through our extensive database of providers or referrals on to specialist sources of support.

Disability Information Scheme (DISC)

Family Resource Centre UK provides specialist information, support and advice to all families with disabled children no matter what their condition or disability.

Great Opportunities

Providing events and leisure opportunities for children and young people with special needs, creating lasting happy child hood memories for all children, no matter what their disability!

Family Finance

Family Finance aims to inform and educate families, leading to their greater financial well being and consequent improvements in lifestyle.

School of Hoops

School of Hoops is a global grassroots coaching and mentoring initiative. School of Hoops boast more than 16 years of community coaching experience.

Here at Family Resource Centre UK we know how important it is for families to be supported, and due to high family pressures and stress we have developed a complete ‘help’ service, for the whole family.

Befriending and Mentoring

Family Resource Centre UK has been providing befriending and mentoring programs to children and young people with special needs for many years now, no matter what their special need or disability.
