Everyone is welcome including all West Berkshire based organisations, groups or individuals who would benefit from the information regarding services and resources for people who have an ASC disability.

Light refreshments will be provided.

In order to accommodate the expected increase in BAS helpline calls, the Working Group decided to launch the card one Local Authority area at a time. The cards are available free of charge to anyone with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) subject to required proof being sent.

Berkshire Autistic Society advises that the cards should be carried at all times so that they can be shown if the individual finds themselves in a situation where they cannot easily explain their behaviour. The card gives some simple advice, the person’s name and emergency contact details. It will help those presented with a card, how to help the card holder and it will also assist you in identifying that you are dealing with someone with autism. Please work together with the Berkshire Autism Alert Card Working Group to help support those with an ASC.

Free information leaflets, posters, window stickers and advice are available on request or see our website at www.autismberkshire.org.uk
